AFLCoach Cup Final 2015

GoYouBlueThing      def                Scorpions

             331                                             315

(F)BETTS 30-19 WALKER, (H)HANSEN 15-18 HOOKER, 45-37, (T) EBERT 8-28 SWALLOW, 53-65. (F)BREUST 18-19 CAMERON, 71-84, (M)MURPHY 23-21 STEVEN, 94-105, (C)CRIPPS 52-24 CUNNINGTON, 146-129. (M)DOCHERTY 16-25 LEWIS, 162-154, (F)HOGAN 18-13 HAWKINS, 180-167, (D)SHAW 45-20 DUNN, 225-187. (M)GAFF 23-29 ELLIS, 248-216, (W)PRIDDIS 36-68 KENNEDY, 284-284, (R)JACOBS 47-6 LYCET, 331-290, (I)BENNELL 0-25 SHUEY, 331-315.

Victory to GYBT, coach Gambell ecstatic to claim a very big trophy for the cabinet, the 16 point win driven by Cripps at Clearer, Shaw at Defender and big sauce Jacobs in the Ruck, noting Lycet’s performance hurt Richie’s Scorpions badly. Kennedy was brilliant at Wildcard for the Scorpions, getting them back in the game after GYBT had ground their way clear to a 38 point 3 quarter time lead, but even Bennell’s shocker was absorbed, GYBT deserving winners of the 2015 knock out event, Jacobs MVP.

Choppers rally late to over run Bandido’s by 5 in absolute thriller. (48-48, 63-68, 83-80, 103-100, 125-119, 131-137, 180-169, 204-195, 232-223, 250-260, 258-268, 290-291, 326-321) In a game that saw five lead changes, it was simply a nail biter all the way through. Choppers by 3 at the first break, Bandido’s by 6 at half time, and the Choppers by 9 at the last change. Kennedy had given the Choppers an early lead, but the Bandido’s just kept chipping away. With Roughead firing late, it looked like the Bandido’s were going to run past the Choppers, but thanks to Beams, and Cloke’s inability to match Rance’s 12 grabs, the Choppers snatched the lead at the death, coach Apples’ head swell about to reach mythical proportions ! … Well done Apps

The Kings stuck with the Fires early thanks to their midfield, but when Bailey withdrew, Cox dominated, Kelly at tackler fantastic, as was Griffin at wildcard.
